Did You Know?
Arabi’s settlers gave little thought to building a town until the first railroad train arrived in 1888. They quickly chose Arabi as the name for their new station. The town was incorporated in 1891. By 1916 it was the largest town in Crisp County after Cordele, and its warehouses handled about 3,500 bales of cotton a year. That’s from the 1916 History of Crisp County.
