Did You Know?
Franklin Springs was named for Franklin County and for three springs near the center of town. Two of the springs carried minerals, one strong in iron and the other in sulphur. The third was free of minerals. All three sat within a few hundred yards of each other. That’s from the 1940 WPA guide to Georgia.
