Here is a piece of Rulo history, in the words of the record. The Internet Archive puts it this way: "Rulo. This town was laid out in 1857 on land belonging to
the wife of Charles Rouleau. It is for her that the town is named
and it should be spelled Rouleau, but the pronunciation led to the
modified spelling Rulo. It was incorporated by an act of the legis-
lature approved November 1, 1858. The precinct has the same
name."
