Here is a piece of Monterey Park Tract history. Monterey Park Tract was built in 1965 as a small rural subdivision about five miles southwest of Ceres. Nitrate problems shut down the individual wells that served its homes, so a community services district was formed, and it began serving the tract in 1984. Later the tract was down to one working well, and with high arsenic in the water, residents drank and cooked with bottled water. A state grant of 2.2 million dollars was set to pay for a water line from Ceres and a water tank for its 44 homes. That's from the Ceres Courier.
Monterey Park Tract is a community in Stanislaus County. The Census Bureau counted 164 people here in 2020.
