Did You Know?

The name Kaibito comes from an old Navajo phrase that the Navajo Nation chapter here translates as willow in the water. Kaibito Spring, not far from the old trading post, may explain why the post was built where it was. The town, the spring and the creek are spelled Kaibito, but the trading post and the Kaibeto Indian School use Kaibeto. That's from the VistaBooks page for Kaibeto Memories.
