Did You Know?
Lime Village is named for the limestone hills nearby. The earliest recorded settlers were Paul, Evan and Zacar Constantinoff, who lived here year-round in 1907, and people from Lake Clark used the spot as a summer fish camp. The 1939 U.S. Census called it Hungry Village. Saints Constantine and Helen, a Russian Orthodox chapel, was built in 1960. That's from the State of Alaska community database.
