Golden Valley is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Mohave County.

The shaded relief of Coyote Pass comes from United States Geological Survey elevation data, and the streets were drawn from Census Bureau files. The community covers 78.745 square miles, all of it land, and 8,801 people lived here at the 2020 census.
Named for a Hollywood company
Golden Valley takes its name from the Golden Valley Development Company, a firm from Hollywood, California, that went into partnership with Crystal Collins to develop most of the land south of Arizona State Route 68. They split it into 2.5-acre parcels and sold each one for $695, at $10 down and $10 a month.
The community lies in the Sacramento Valley, with mountain ranges standing between it and the larger cities of Kingman and Bullhead City. State Route 68 runs through the heart of Golden Valley. To the east it leads 10 miles to Kingman, and at the eastern end of the community it meets U.S. Route 93, which goes south to Kingman or north to Las Vegas. To the west it crosses the Black Mountains and runs 23 miles to Bullhead City. The Sacramento Valley runs north and south, west and southwest of Kingman, just east of the southern end of the Black Mountains, and Interstate 40 crosses it. The Black Mountains reach their high point at Mount Perkins, 5,456 feet, and the old mining town of Oatman sits in their southern part. North of Kingman rise the Cerbat Mountains, Ha’emede in the Walapai language.

Around the valley
Golden Valley is run directly by Mohave County, and the Golden Valley Fire Department protects it. Black Mountain Elementary School is the community’s one elementary school, part of the Kingman Unified School District, and older students ride the bus to Kingman for high school. People who live here work in Golden Valley, Kingman, Bullhead City, Lake Havasu City and Laughlin, Nevada, and some as far away as Las Vegas.
The Golden Valley Baptist Church and the Golden Valley Assembly of God have their places on the sheet along with the Cowboy Church of Mohave County, and Veterans Community Park is there too. Coyote Pass, Cerbat Wash and Thirteen Mile Wash give the land its shape.
