Did You Know?
The first permanent settlement at Between came in the 1850s. The town lies between Loganville and Monroe, the two largest cities in Walton County. Residents strongly opposed annexation by either one, so they incorporated on their own in 1908. After struggling to pick a name, they chose the simplest and most obvious one.
