This map shows Madison, Wisconsin in 1885.  The map was created by Norris, Wellge & Co and printed by Beck & Pauli lithographers of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The map has been restored to its original condition by KNOWOL.

The map shows a bird’s eye view of Madison, WI as it looked toward the end of the 19th century. Landmarks on the map include the State Capitol, City Hall, a cracker factory, the Pioneer Hotel, Breckheimer’s Brewery and more.
