Every town has a first chapter, and Warner Valley is no exception. The land that is now the Warner Valley Wildlife Area was once part of the Lee family cattle operation, and over the years Mr. Lee sold small parcels to friends who built summer cabins. The state took title in early 1988, and the 689 acres became a wildlife area in 1991. Beavers made much of its wetland, and bald eagles are sometimes seen fishing along the creek. That's from the California Department of Fish and Wildlife.
Warner Valley is a community in Plumas County. The Census Bureau counted 8 people here in 2020.
