If you grew up in Memphis, or your family still lives on one of its side streets, this print was made with you in mind. It's a modern aerial view of Memphis in Scotland County, Missouri, made from modern data and finished with a vintage look. The town's streets spread out over green, rolling hills, and every building is drawn as a small red shape. You'll see ball fields and a running track up in the top corner. North Clay Street, Grand Avenue and Memphis City Hall are all printed by name.

The 196-foot well on the Memphis courthouse square
Early Memphis had to work hard for its water. An 1887 county history tells the story. In 1846, a public well was dug in the northeast corner of the courthouse square. The diggers went down 196 feet before they found enough water. Years later, a new public well went in on the southwest corner of the same square. That one hit water at just 25 feet. The history says it had plenty of water from then on. Memphis City Hall is printed near the center of the map, so you can zoom in there and look around downtown.
Memphis also has a National Register listing on South Main Street. The Downing House, at 311 South Main Street, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It was added in 1979. South Main Street is printed on the map, so you can find the block where the house stands.
