Every town has a first chapter, and Landmark is no exception. Landmark took its name from a Baptist church organized in 1885 by members who broke away from Pine Grove Church in Sweet Home. They chose the name to show their resolve to hold steadily to the old landmarks of Baptist teaching, and Squires Wright donated an acre of land for a church built of lumber. Earlier, in 1878, storekeeper Robert Parker won a post office for the area. He wanted to call it Bermuda, but that name was rejected, so it was called Parkers. That's from the Encyclopedia of Arkansas.
Landmark is a community in Pulaski County. The Census Bureau counted 3,585 people here in 2020.
