Here is a piece of Loma history. Land speculators developed Loma in the first decade of the 1900s and advertised it as the Orchard Town of Loma. In the 1930s its community hall was built as the gathering place for the President Roosevelt Resettlement Project, which moved Dust Bowl farm families onto 42 farms in the Grand Valley. Dances paid for the hall's coal and upkeep, and not a dime of tax money went toward it while the community council ran it. That's from the National Register of Historic Places.

Loma is a community in Mesa County. The Census Bureau counted 1,314 people here in 2020.
