Did You Know?
Fond du Lac was home to an Ojibwe settlement from the 1500s into the 1800s. The American Fur Company opened a trading post here in 1817. Two treaties, in 1826 and 1847, were signed at Fond du Lac. Duluth annexed the village in 1895.
