Pryor has a story worth telling. Pryor grew into a small supply and service center after Plenty Coups, one of the last and most celebrated traditional chiefs of the Crow, built his home along Pryor Creek and his band their cabins. As a young man he had a vision of himself as an old man in a house by a spring in the Pryor Valley, and that log home fulfilled it. He lived there until his death in 1932, and his homestead is now Chief Plenty Coups State Park. That's from the National Park Service.

Pryor is a community in Big Horn County. The Census Bureau counted 637 people here in 2020.
