If you grew up in Newton Falls, or you've walked the old covered bridge on River Street, this map is for you. It's a new aerial view of Newton Falls in Trumbull County, Ohio, made from modern data and given a vintage look. Two blue rivers wind in and meet near the middle of town. Downtown sits right around them, with Newton Falls City Hall at the center. Red buildings fill the blocks along East Broad Street and West Broad Street. Green fields and woods reach out to every edge of the sheet.

The Newton Falls Covered Bridge was built over the east branch of the Mahoning River around 1831. The Ohio historical marker calls it the second oldest covered bridge still standing in Ohio. It's also the oldest one still in use on its first site. In 1921, a covered crosswalk was added for children walking to the school on Center Street. No other covered bridge in Ohio has one. It's the last covered bridge left in Trumbull County, too. The bridge is 123 feet long and joined the National Register of Historic Places in 1974. Trumbull County takes care of it today. The bridge carries River Street over the river, just west of Milton Boulevard.
