Here is a piece of Rainbow Springs history. In the 1920s the spring was called Blue Springs, and it was a favorite spot for tourists and locals. When it was renamed Rainbow Springs, Blue Run became the Rainbow River, a change that proved to be a successful marketing ploy. Archaeological evidence shows people have used the spring for nearly 10,000 years.
