Just four years later, in 1857, it became the county seat. The Iron County Courthouse Buildings are in Ironton today. The Iron County Courthouse Buildings sit on Courthouse Square and at 220 South Shepherd Street. They were added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. Saint Paul's Episcopal Church and the Ironton Lodge Hall
