Did You Know?
Teterboro takes its name from Walter C. Teter, a New York investment banker. He bought the land in 1917 to build a racetrack. On a 700 acre tract he reclaimed marshland and built an airport plus an 18-hole golf course. The borough was renamed Bendix in 1937, then became Teterboro again in 1943.
