According to his Ohio historical marker, he painted thousands of Mail Pouch barns over a 48-year career. His marker stands on Brown Street near Third Street. Both streets are named on this map.
The Highway Beautification Act of 1965 restricted roadside ads. In 1969, Bloch Brothers cut back its barn ad program. But it kept Warrick on to repaint barns for their historic value. He continued that work until he retired in 1993. What began as an ad had become something people wanted to keep.
