KNOWOL made this map in 2026 from public survey records, combining modern geography with the look of a vintage atlas. United States Geological Survey elevation data shapes the terrain, and Census Bureau files supply the roads and municipal boundary. Buildings, ponds and waterways complete the aerial view.

A town with two names in its history

Glenburn incorporated in 1822 under the name Dutton, honoring Samuel Dutton. The name changed to Glenburn in 1837. The town includes the villages of Glenburn and West Glenburn, and its population was 4,648 at the 2020 census.

Pushaw Lake extends into Glenburn, Orono, Old Town and Hudson. Its shallow water supports a warmwater fishery, and a dam was built at its outlet in 1920. The lake is part of a landscape that also includes Kenduskeag Stream, which runs through Glenburn on its way to Bangor.
