If you grew up off Main Street in Hilliard, or you live in Heritage Lakes or Hoffman Farms today, this map shows your part of town. It's a new aerial view of Hilliard in Franklin County, Ohio, made from modern data and given a vintage look. More than 25,000 buildings sit in red on soft green land. A blue river runs down the right side, and a thin rail line runs top to bottom just right of center.

On this map you'll find Main Street, Center Street, Norwich Street, Cemetery Road, Scioto Darby Road, Hilliard Rome Road, Dublin Road, Davidson Road, Britton Parkway, Norwich Township Administration, Heritage Lakes, Hoffman Farms, Hayden Run Village, Mudsock, and more. Each red shape is a building, so zoom in on the preview and look for yours.
Hilliard's Station on the Railroad
Hilliard has old ties to the railroad. In 1880, the History of Franklin and Pickaway Counties called it "Hilliard's station, on the Columbus, Cincinnati & Indiana Central railway." The same book says a doctor named Jewett was the first physician to settle in Hilliard. He came soon after the village was laid out. Today a thin rail line still runs top to bottom on the east side of town on this map.
Some of that old village still stands. Four buildings in old Hilliard are on the National Register of Historic Places, and all four were listed in 1988. The Odd Fellows Hall is at 4065 Main Street. The Hilliard Methodist Episcopal Church is at 4066 Main Street. The Winterringer Building and House is on Center Street. The Dr. James Merryman House is on Norwich Street. Look for Main Street, Center Street and Norwich Street near the middle of the map. You'll also spot Winterringer Street, which carries the same name.
