How do you restore your images?
Each of our restored images is digitally restored using a high resolution scan of the original. After creating a high resolution scan of the original artwork, our graphic designers digitally remove stains, tears, creases, and other damage that were not on the map when it was originally printed. Our goal is to restore each image to its original state.
Do you sell the original, restored maps from your collection?
We do occasionally sell restored versions of our original maps. If you would like to inquire about purchasing an original version of a map on our website, please contact us.
How long does it take to receive an order?
You should receive your order within 7-10 business days from the date that you place your order. Business days do not include weekends & holidays.
How are your prints shipped?
Our unframed prints are rolled, wrapped in tissue paper, and shipped in a heavy tube to ensure the print arrives safely to your door. Our framed prints are carefully wrapped with bubble wrap and then packed in cardboard boxes specifically made for shipping frames.
Do your printed products contain the KNOWOL watermark?
No, they do not. All of our prints are free from watermarks, logos, or text that was not on the original artwork when it was created. Our goal is to replicate each image as it was originally printed, and we do not add watermarks or signatures to our final products.
Do you have vintage maps & images other than the ones currently on your website?
Yes, we do. Our collection of restored maps, lithographs, and vintage imagery is a work in progress. We have numerous prints that have yet to be scanned, and are constantly acquiring new works. If you are looking for something specific, please contact us.
Do you purchase original maps, prints, and lithographs?
Yes, we do buy original art. Please contact us with details of the item you are looking to sell. We will be glad to discuss your artwork and assess it further in order to make an offer.
