Kezar Falls is a named community in Oxford County, extending into York County.
KNOWOL made this map in 2026 using public survey records, United States Geological Survey elevation data and Census Bureau files. We arranged Kezar Falls’s streets, buildings, and terrain, the community boundary and the pattern of buildings with the relief, lettering and layout of an atlas. The community is mapped with its own boundary. The finished artwork gives Kezar Falls its own place title.
A village across the river
Kezar Falls is an unincorporated community on the Ossipee River, with parts in Porter and Parsonsfield. Porter is in Oxford County; Parsonsfield is in York County.
Water power at the falls drove woolen mills and generated electricity for the village. In 1880, John Devereux and George W. Towle built the Kezar Falls Woolen Mill in Parsonsfield.
The village historically had separate corporations on the Porter and Parsonsfield sides. The Parsonsfield village corporation was repealed in 1975, while the Porter corporation had expanded into part of Hiram in 1913.
